Book Blog #6: Due Thursday, May 26

·      How did the book end? The book end like she still has a problem with her father but  at the end she like how  Passionate   she are by having those kids around her and explain more who beautiful her kids are and how lovely the were to her.

·      Were you satisfied with the ending? Why or why not? I didn't satisfied with the book end because she ended up having HIV positive and not getting her GED, its really  ridicules to live in that kind of life.

·      What is the author’s purpose for writing the book? What is his/her message to you? The Authors purpose of this book to inform the reader  that big body small mind can't do nothing.No matter how old you are it won't help if you are not matured enough to handle being a parents. I learn that if you can understand what i am doing I would have not start before i cause any terrible, i learn being matured is more important at any age.

·      Would you recommend this book to someone? Who would it be? I would like to recommend this book for teen,because we are mostly root of the problem, to we need to make sure what ever we does, doesn't effect other physically or mentally.

·      How did you help the group throughout the literature circles? I help my group by talking in deep about the book and we discus about every issue and talked by putting ourself  where precious were and how we would have react in that case.

Book Blog #5: Due Tuesday, May 24

·      Imagine you are the main character’s best friend.

·      What advice would you give them? If I am the precious best friend I will tell to leave the house and report to the police what have happen to her and she will probably will have keep on with her education.

·      How would you help them in the situation they are in? I will ask my family if they can let her to live in our house for some point and then she will get her own Apartment and keep on with her education.

·      Who else could help them? The Government and some people who will to help others.

Book Blog #4: Due Thursday, May 19

·      Write a summary of what is happening in the book. I the book Push theirs  a girl named Precious Jones. she was 16 years old and have raped by her father and bathers by her mother. she had two kids at that young age and she has no education to read or write. precious life was hopeless and she hate who she was as a person.  

·      Explain your reaction and support it with your own experiences. my reaction toward this book was that the parents are so stupid and childish. If i was a precious i would have not keep what has happen to me as a secret, because every body will think that i got a baby from other boy i love, but that wasn't what have happen. I will also leave the house and find other way to live in a shelter. If those option wasn't possible, I will report to a police so that he will get Punishment for what he have done to me at that young age.

·      What can you predict will happen? I think at the end of the book Precious will like who she have become and get her education as well. she also will be the good example to her family which doesn't now what being a parents are.

·      What questions do you have?

why does precious like to keep as secret her being pregnant from her father?

then, WRITE THIS BLOG FROM A CHARACTER’S VIEWPOINT.

o   What is happening in the story? I feel so bad about my life which no batter than death. I have choose to die but didn't happen i see myself berthing, I hate my mother whenever I see she is still sending me to the kitchen to cook the meal for her and at the same time I am pregnant, I don't know who month it is, the only thing i feel is the pain killing me a live. I feel so uneducated which i need it to at the young age. my mother batters me and the school teacher as well because i am pregnant.

o   What do you want to happen? I want either my life change or die. I mostly want to learn more about my future and get my G.E.D and keep my learning forward that I will learn how to right and read as well.

o   What do you predict will happen? I hope my family will learn how bad they were doing to me, and i will be somebody one day so that will teach them a life lesson through out their life.

o   What questions do you have? Why does some family doesn't care about their own kids?

Book Blog #2: Due Thursday, May 12

·      Write your reactions to the book so far.

The book is full of emotion and painful to me because when I put myself at C.J.P place, I don't think i will have a patiant to stay with that family.

·      Who are the main characters? Precious Jones.

·      Describe them (age, gender, race, etc.)? Jones is 16 years old female raped by her father, she is also African American girl.

·      Where do they live? Jones live with her parent mom and dad.

·      What is the problem? The problem she had was  she raped by her father when she was age 12 and had her first child at that young age. She got her second baby from her father at age 16, her mother also never been nice to her. she is the girl has born in childish family and they don't now how important it is to take care of their kids. she also had effect by not having education by the young age when she need it she have distract by her selfish father, having a baby from her at a young age.

·      Why did you choose this book?

I chose this book because it seems interesting to me and all of my group.

it also tell about this young girl that had rapes by her father.

·      What do you predict it to be about?

I predict it to that the  girl has survived at the end so that she can see what has happen to her through out her previous life, and compare  to her current life.

·      What catches your eye on the front cover?

The tittle of the book catches my eye at first that let me to read the whole book by the end of this month. "PUSH".

Dalashia, Linda, and Robdu

·      What are the group norms and expectations? 

Every body has to do their roll 

Nobody has to read a head of others.
